John Daniel DeBevoise

Youth & Campus Ministry
John Daniel (aka JD) was born and raised in Orlando, Florida. After graduating from Florida State University with a Bachelor's in Information Communication Technology, he was the pastoral intern for a year at Palma Ceia Presbyterian (Tampa, FL). He is a graduate of Columbia Theological Seminary and an ordained teaching elder in the Foothills Presbytery (SC). He has been at FPC since summer of 2022. JD is married to Rev. Eliza DeBevoise, the campus chaplain and director of community engagement at Converse University. They have a 1 1/2-year-old Cavapoo, puddles. JD loves music, basketball, and tapping into his imaginative and creative side!

Carrie Coleman
Youth Ministry Coordinator
Carrie begin serving as our Youth Program Coordinator in June 2019. Born and raised in Augusta, GA, Carrie moved to Spartanburg in 1992 to attend Converse College where she received a BA in psychology. She also worked for the Spartanburg Area Chamber of Commerce, the Spartanburg Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Spartanburg County Economic Development Corporation and taught preschool for several years here at our Weekday School. She has been a member of FPC since 2002 and married her husband, Mark, right here in our Sanctuary. They have two Youth of their own - Eleanor and Thomas.
Grace deMaine
Associate Youth Director
Currently a Junior at Wofford College, double majoring in Government and Religion, Grace is originally from Greenville, SC and grew up at John Knox Presbyterian Church. She started at FPC in September of 2023. For the last two summers she has served as the Youth Intern at National Presbyterian Church in Washington D.C. and was also the Youth Intern at John Knox last year. The oldest of 6 siblings, Grace loves being around middle and high school kids and is looking forward to getting to know our Youth!
